Installation :Marine electricians install electrical systems, wiring, and equipment on new and existing vessels. This includes tasks like running conduits, pulling cables, and connecting components to power distribution panels and switchboards.Maintenance :They perform routine maintenance on electrical systems, such as inspecting wiring, cleaning contacts, and lubricating motors, to prevent issues and ensure optimal performance.Repair :When electrical problems arise, marine electricians diagnose and repair malfunctions. This may involve troubleshooting faulty circuits, replacing damaged components, and repairing or replacing wiring and equipment.Troubleshooting :Using specialized tools and test equipment, marine electricians identify and resolve electrical issues on ships.
