Harris County, Georgia, with a population of 36,000 and located in west central Georgia along the Alabama border 60 miles southwest of Atlanta and 30 minutes north of Columbus, is accepting applications for a full time Detail Officer for the County Prison. This position is responsible for ensuring public safety and safety of the inmates while on detail, supervising all activities of the inmates, and completing tasks / work order requests in a timely and safe manner.

HSD or GED plus two years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work.

The starting salary is $20.59 per hour, plus generous benefits including a five-year vesting schedule for retirement.
