Advisor - Inner Ear Histology

The Early Preclinical Development team is seeking a PhD level scientist at the Advisor level, preferably with experience in inner ear histology to support animal studies from discovery to IND-enabling stages. The candidate will report to the Senior Director of Histology and will work closely with a team of scientists aiming to develop genetic medicines. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the execution of  in vivo and ex vivo  experiments in mice and / or non-human primates (NHPs). The successful candidate will be self-motivated, creative, and scientifically agile, with a desire to succeed at the highest level in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Execute  in vivo  and / or  ex vivo  nonclinical experiments for the development of gene therapies for the inner ear :

Perform histologic preparations of mouse and NHP inner ear tissue, including whole-mount dissections or cryosections and immunohistochemistry

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$133,500 - $217,800

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
