National Operations Director

The National Director of Operations oversees all food service programs outside the San Francisco area. This role ensures efficient management of resources, consistent delivery of services, and strategic alignment across cafs, catering, and MK operations nationwide. The leader drives performance, innovation, and financial accountability while fostering a culture of excellence and equity.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Representing the food program to client stakeholders
  • Leading strategic and tactical operations for all non-SF cafs, catering, and MK programs
  • Standardizing SOPs and performance benchmarks
  • Mentoring and developing regional GMs and Directors
  • Collaborating with culinary, wellness, and marketing teams
  • Ensuring high-quality, inclusive guest experiences
  • Owning financial performance for national markets
  • Partnering with commissary operations
  • Driving results across key metrics
  • Building strong relationships across all organizational levels
  • Conducting regular site visits and satisfaction surveys
  • Delivering corporate communications and priorities
  • Leading regional sales efforts
  • Ensuring thorough audits across financial, food safety, and HR domains

Preferred qualifications include :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 1215 years of upscale food service experience
  • Proven success in personnel management and team development
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Expertise in HACCP controls, food safety, and operational compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ServSafe or Health Department certification
  • Exceptional communication, multitasking, and policy interpretation skills
