Accountants One is partnering with a client in Gainesville, Georgia, seeking a Property Accountant to take ownership of property-level and consolidated accounting functions. This role offers hands-on responsibility across the full accounting cycle, with a strong emphasis on property accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead monthly closings for multiple entities and prepare / review financial statements.
• Monitor and reconcile all property-related balance sheet accounts; analyze income and expense accounts for accuracy and trends.
• Prepare detailed budget-to-actual reports, variance analyses, and other management reporting.
• Reconcile property bank statements on a monthly basis.
• Post and review routine, closing, and special journal entries.
• Manage fixed asset tracking, including acquisitions, transfers, write-offs, and depreciation, ensuring property records reconcile with the general ledger.
• Oversee accounts payable coordination, verifying invoices against POs / receiving reports and resolving discrepancies.
• Support payroll processing, reporting, and compliance, including W-2 / 1099 preparation and workers’ comp audits.
• Maintain compliance with contracts and provide audit-ready files / documentation.
• Partner with the CFO and senior leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives.
