General Purpose of the Job
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all customer products are manufactured to the correct specifications throughout the entire production process. This includes verifying compliance with manufacturing requirements and customer standards.

Pay Rate : $18.00 / HR

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect parts according to production drawings before running full production, ensuring all dimensions meet specifications.
- Maintain daily records of final inspections and shipping processes.
- Provide assistance to Machine Operators when necessary.
- Coordinate with production teams to conduct plant-wide gauge and equipment calibration.
- Identify non-conforming products and properly document all rejected materials / products.
- Perform in-process product verification as needed.
- Confirm revision accuracy on all related documentation and products.
- Maintain basic computer documentation and inspection reporting.
- Ensure the company complies with applicable manufacturing standards and codes.
- Inspect incoming raw materials, parts, and subassemblies, mark results, and complete required paperwork.
- Perform first-piece inspections per control plan before production begins.
- Conduct in-process inspections to verify adherence to drawings, specifications, and manufacturing plans.
- Perform final inspection to confirm the product meets customer standards and all certifications / documentation are in place prior to shipment.
- Maintain and manage inspection fixtures, gauges, and measuring devices to ensure accurate measurements and documentation.
Knowledge Base
Understanding of steel fabrication processes, including laser cutting, press brake bending, and welding.Knowledge of paint line powder coating processes and cured finish testing.Proficient use of metrology and measurement instruments.Ability to read and interpret production drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.One to three years of related manufacturing or quality inspection experience, or a combination of education and experience.Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and business documentation.Capable of preparing written reports and presenting information clearly.Must be bilingual (English / Spanish).Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical manufacturing and measurement scenarios.Reasoning Ability
Ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze results, and draw valid conclusions.Capable of interpreting detailed instructions, procedures, and technical documents.#IND-M
