Aerospace Electronics Technical Writer - 100% Remote
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer with a strong electrical engineering and aviation experience to support documentation efforts for a new product line in the aviation sector. This role is critical to the successful certification and deployment of aviation electronics.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation for electrical systems.
Write change reports for component substitutions (e.g., PCB component replacements due to supply chain constraints).
Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, concise documentation for internal and regulatory use.
Collaborate with engineering teams to gather technical data and ensure accuracy.
Interpret and incorporate electrical schematics, circuit board layouts, and low-voltage motor specifications.
Ensure documentation complies with FAA and aerospace industry standards.
Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Technical Writer in the aviation / aerospace industry.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Familiarity with FAA regulations and aerospace documentation standards.
Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
Prior work on Boeing aircraft programs is highly preferred
Experience documenting new product introductions in regulated environments.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $52.00 / hr.
