About The Position

Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist

Profession : Ultrasound Technologist, Registered

Specialty : Obstetrics and Gynecology

Duration : 60 Day Contract

Shift : Monday - Friday

Hours per Shift : 8 am - 4 pm

Experience : Client experience preferred, especially in all three trimesters; vascular ultrasound experience not applicable. Minimum of 2 years as an Ultrasound Technologist.

License : Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

Certifications : BLS required

Must-Have :

High School / G.E.D. AND successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound / Sonography technical training program.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.

Description :

The Ultrasound Technologist performs or assists in ultrasound examinations.

They render technical assistance to the Radiologist and maintain all ultrasound equipment.

Responsibilities include preparing and examining all patients for ultrasound examinations according to established procedures.

The technologist operates and adjusts ultrasound equipment while ensuring the safety of patients and personnel.

They are responsible for setting up, operating, cleaning, and making minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.

The technologist ensures that adequate supplies are available for use.

Assistance in orienting and mentoring new Ultrasound personnel is also part of the role.

Capturing images onto PACS and transferring them to physicians' workstations is required.

Additional duties include answering telephones, scheduling examinations, and initiating transportation as needed.

Other tasks may be assigned as required.
