Pipefitter Foreman

We are seeking a tenured Pipefitter foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in reading blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, as well as the ability to select and assemble pipe materials according to specifications. This role involves preparing, cutting, fabricating, and assembling piping components, as well as installing and testing piping systems to ensure quality.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine work scope, including locations, quantities, and material specifications.
• Select the appropriate type and size of pipe, materials, and equipment as per specifications.
• Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes.
• Prepare, cut, fabricate, layout, fit, position, and assemble piping components in various positions.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them for welding.
• Install hangers, supports, valves, and components according to piping system plans and specifications.
• Perform leak tests to ensure the quality and integrity of piping systems.
• Identify and use necessary tools such as grinders, drills, and beveling machines.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.

Work Environment

Work will be conducted onsite at various new construction and industrial sites. The schedule is typically 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm, Monday through Friday. Initial travel is required until local projects commence, with occasional travel expected thereafter, not exceeding three-week periods. Travel beyond 50 miles is compensated with a per diem.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ladson, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00 / hr.
