Manufacturing Leader

The Manufacturing Leader is accountable for the performance of manufacturing operations related to new equipment, upgrades, and parts production. This role oversees production and execution, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and strategic deployment. Inspirational leadership, coaching, and mentorship are essential to foster a high-performing, engaged team. This leader will collaborate across local and global teams to optimize capacity, drive operational excellence, and deliver measurable value to customers.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Leading manufacturing and support teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
  • Setting and managing short- and long-term goals, ensuring accountability through key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitoring and improving metrics across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) using Lean principles and advanced analytics.
  • Analyzing performance data to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and explain variances from plan.
  • Optimizing workforce utilization through cross-training, resource planning, and flexible staffing strategies.
  • Ensuring availability of tools, materials, and engineering support to meet production goals.
  • Promoting a culture of safety, wellness, and fulfillment; resolving issues promptly and fairly.
  • Developing talent through ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance management.
  • Communicating and aligning team efforts with company strategy and operational goals.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales, Field Service, Global Supply Chain) to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Managing inventory levels to balance cost efficiency with high customer service standards.
  • Partnering with sales and engineering to support product delivery, risk mitigation, and cost estimation.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental, OSHA, and company safety standards.

Data & analytics focus :

  • Establishing and reporting on operational and customer service KPIs.
  • Using advanced Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, VBA) and Power BI to visualize performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive improvements.
  • Applying Pareto analysis, root cause analysis, and other statistical tools to prioritize and solve systemic issues.
  • Leveraging data to support strategic decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • 5+ years in leadership roles with a focus on people development.
  • Proven experience using Lean tools to drive measurable results.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced functions), Power BI, and data analysis methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy, clarity, and strategic vision.
