Zero Trust project coordinator / scheduler

Zermount Inc. is seeking a Zero Trust (ZT) Project Coordinator / Scheduler who will assist in providing security to one of our federal clients. The ZT Project Coordinator / Scheduler will be part of the implementation of ZT principles across the pillars of ZT (identity, device, network, application and workload, and data) to assist the client in meeting the requirements set forth by EO 14028 and OMB M 22-09. The ZT Project Coordinator / Scheduler will be responsible for assigning and monitoring daily tasks and communication, as well as creating reports and updates for the project manager and other members of management. They will be responsible for ensuring that necessary daily tasks to keep a project on track, which includes setting the initial goals of the project and planning the phases of the project all the way through project completion.
Duties & Responsibilities :
The ZT Project Coordinator / Scheduler will ensure the Zermount ZT solutions and services secure federal networks and meet the objectives of EO 14028 and other Federal requirements. Additionally, the ZT Project Coordinator / Scheduler will provide support and services to include :
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and management to assist in planning and managing Zero Trust Information Technology (IT) projects.
- Integrate business and technical aspects of projects to ensure successful implementation of Zero Trust principles.
- Plan projects, assess business implications for each stage, and create integrated schedules to allocate work, monitor progress and ensure adherence to deadlines, standards, and cost targets.
- Participate in establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives and possess expert technical knowledge in Zero Trust.
- Direct and contract activities for clients and staff to ensure technical requirements are met.
- Generate client reports and interface with management to communicate project progress and achievements.
- Supervise team members to support the Agile development of project roadmaps, establish milestones, and implement metrics to track progress.
- Help agile performance across multiple work streams and report status to leadership during weekly calls.
- Collaborate with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables.
Qualifications :
Clear understanding of project management processes, strategies, and methods.Experience working in an Agile environment and with Scrum Teams.Strong problem solving and analysis skills, with a sense of personal accountability.Experience in training and mentoring rising talent in the technology department.Ability to predict and address challenges and obstacles.Experience communicating effectively, both oral and written, with technical, non-technical, and executive-level customers.Knowledge of EO 14028, OMB M 22-09, Federal, DoD, and CISA Zero Trust Architecture, Maturity Model, and Technical Reference Architectures.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with NIST Special Publications and guidance.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to navigate complex and politically sensitive client environments with professionalism, patience, and tact.Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and manage relationships with highly political clients while maintaining a professional demeanor, exhibiting patience, and navigating sensitive situations with tact.Zero Trust Specific Qualifications : Systems Maturity Model
Education :
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following : Information Technology (IT), computer science, management, business administration, or a related field.Relevant years of experience may be used in substitution for situations where the candidate does not have a Bachelor's degree in the required field.
Certifications :
At least one of the following certifications are preferred :Project Management Professional (PMP).
Agile / Scrum Master certificationClearance level :
Minimum of an active Secret Clearance.Work Location :
Hybrid - Primarily Remote.Required onsite work at the client location in Springfield, VA and Zermount HQ in Arlington, VA., will be occasionally required.
