If you believe in the power of second chances and want to be part of a team that changes lives, we want to hear from you.Duties / Responsibilities : Supervises Residential Advisors and ensures that student needs are met in a timely professional manner.Directs and plans for the Social Development Departments needs. Manages the activities of residential living.Conducts regular staff meetings and employee training sessions.Provides monthly and weekly activity reports to Center Management, including Social Development Director, Center Director, and weekend Duty Officer.Ensures orderly and clean-living conditions are maintained in dormitories, while promoting self-discipline and an awareness of others by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring staff and student behavior according to the Career Success Standards.Assists students in handling special problems and conducts dormitory meetings, including collaboration with other departments when necessary to ensure that student issues and concerns are addressed and resolved in a timely fashion.Conducts regular audits of student Residential files and staff shift reports and provides feedback to ensure compliance.Facilitates prompt and appropriate assistance to students in the event of injury, illness, emotional trauma, arrest, trouble at home and other traumatic experiences.Interviews and selects staff.Prepares and conducts performance evaluations.Performs other duties as assigned.Shift Hours : Monday & Tuesday OffWednesday 2 : 00 PM to 12 : 00 AMThursday & Friday 2 : 30 PM to 11 : 30 PMSaturday 3 : 00 PM to 12 : 00 AM & Sunday 4 : 00 PM to 12 : 00 AMRequirements : Qualifications : Minimum : High School Diploma or High School Equivalency and two years experience working with youth and young adults.Preferred : Minimum plus previous Job Corps experience.Knowledge : Ability to effectively communicate with and relate to disadvantaged youths. Must be able to obtain a State drivers license. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR / 1st Aid & AED certification. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
