Description of Role
SRI Telecom is seeking an Engineering Project Scheduler to support day-to-day coordination across Planning, Design, Permitting, and Construction activities. This role owns the engineering schedule, maintains project workflows, drives meeting rigor with vendors, and ensures engineering milestones are accurately tracked and reported. The Scheduler serves as the central hub for dependencies, risk identification, cost estimate updates, and overall project continuity-keeping deliverables moving and preventing delays.
Tasks
- Maintain and update the Engineering Delivery Schedule through Central Reporting systems.
- Facilitate weekly vendor design meetings; prepare agendas, capture notes, and track action items.
- Track project progress from planning to design to permitting to construction handoff.
- Perform weekly schedule hygiene checks and resolve data gaps or inaccuracies.
- Manage CE workflows : create, publish, and version-control cost estimates (depending on level).
- Support material forecasting, spend tracking, and burn-down reporting.
- Build and maintain trackers, forecasting tools, KPI dashboards, and look-ahead schedules.
- Collaborate with Engineering Coordinators on LFT / HH adjustments and project updates.
- Ensure accurate documentation within ARK or related CRM / project systems.
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, or delays and communicate impacts to engineering leadership.
- Provide meeting support, reporting, and continuity for design vendors and internal teams.
- Support internal process improvements, reporting formats, and schedule governance standards.
- Maintain historical reporting accuracy through ticket documentation and project notes.
- Coordinate with local stakeholders to ensure dependencies are met and deadlines are not missed.

Skills & Responsibilities
Strong understanding of construction scheduling, design timelines, and telecom workflow dependencies.Experience in telecom coordination, project scheduling, or engineering project support.Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel (pivot tables, lookups, charts, formulas).Ability to maintain complex schedules and communicate updates clearly to cross-functional teams.Knowledge of permitting timelines and long-lead dependencies (preferred).Ability to identify cause-and-effect impacts across engineering and construction.Strong PM-style communication skills (written, verbal, meeting facilitation).Experience with CE creation, revisions, and version control (preferred for higher-level candidates).Comfortable building trackers, dashboards, KPI reports, and forecasting models.Telecom experience strongly preferred; basic understanding of OSP / ISP design is a plus.Ability to keep vendors, designers, and contractors aligned and on schedule.Local market knowledge (Raleigh and surrounding areas).SQL experience strongly preferred.Must be willing to travel locally; mileage reimbursed.Work Schedule
