Join a well-established GI practice in the North Houston Area. Practice strives to help patients in and around the Greater Houston area find relief from a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. Advanced Endoscopy is preferred but open to General GI candidates as well.

Job Description
Minimum Qualifications
Education : Graduation from an accredited school of Medicine
Licenses / Certifications :
- Current state medical license
- Current Federal Drug Enforcement Administration license
- Board certified or Board eligible
- Basic Cardiac Life Certification or Advanced Cardiac Life Certification
- Staff privileges at all the hospitals for which coverage is being provided
Experience / Knowledge / Skills
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skillsExhibits teamwork skills that facilitate interchange between multidisciplinary health care workers in order to provide quality patient care / outcomesSuperior problem solving skillsArticulate and an active listenerAddresses issues / concerns with the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in a timely fashionPrincipal Accountabilities
Directs patient care throughout the health care system via Consult OrdersProvides consultation services in collaboration with attending or primary care providerCommunicates with the attending physician, nurse, family, and other treatment team members when appropriate to obtain the patient care planEffectively communicates with treatment team in a timely and professional manner to provide quality careComplies with best practices and other care directives; follows Performance Improvement initiativesWorks with Memorial Hermann Physicians, Risk Managers, and Case Managers towards resolution of clinical, administrative or technical problemsMaintains patient confidentiality and adheres to MH compliance privacy policiesEnsures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of servicePromotes professional growth by meeting requirements for mandatory / continuing education and skills competency; supports department goals; serves as preceptor / mentorDemonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiencesOther duties as assignedSeniority level
