Overview
BBI Logistics is a fast-paced, full-cycle sales environment where income is driven by hustle, relationships, and the ability to close business. We are looking to add to our growing International Team. This role is on-site at our HQ in downtown Columbus, OH.
As a Drayage Freight Broker or Business Development Representative, you will build your own book of business from the ground up, sourcing and selling to shippers who need help moving containers from ports and rail yards.
What you'll be doing
- Build your own book of business by prospecting new clients specifically in the drayage space
- Learn how to negotiate and close deals that move freight across the U.S. and Mexico
- Make 80+ outbound calls per day to connect with decision-makers in the logistics world (shipping lines, freight forwarders, port authorities)
- Utilize your exceptional negotiation skills to reach mutually beneficial agreements with clients, carriers, and suppliers
- Stay on the cutting edge of industry trends, keeping a finger on the pulse of the drayage landscape to capitalize on emerging opportunities
- Expand market in US and MX
- Collaborate with team mates to ensure smooth and efficient drayage operations
