• Employment Type : Travel\n\nJob Description\n\nAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position with night shifts requiring pediatrics experience and PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications.\n\nResponsibilities\n
• Work in a Med / Surg Tele unit with adult and pediatric patients aged 6 years and up\n
• Night schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00\n
• Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1 : 6 to 1 : 8\n
• Travelers may be required to float to different units as needed\n
• Uses EPIC for electronic documentation\n
• Care includes O2 protocol management, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care, and isolation precautions\n
• Care responsibilities include activating the rapid response team as needed\n
• Return staff must wait 2 years before they can travel again through this system\n
• Modules are completed during orientation and annually, tracked via DevelopYou transcripts\n
• First time travelers are welcome to apply\n
• Work environment requires adherence to isolation precautions and PPE guidelines\n
• Background restrictions may be considered with an explanation\n\nRequirements\n
• Active KY or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration\n
• Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS required upon hire\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med / Surg Tele with pediatric care for patients aged 6 and above\n
• Experience with computerized documentation and EPIC required\n
• Must provide two professional references for consideration\n
