About The Position

Job Title : Urology RN, Clinic

Experience : 3 years of clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care setting preferred

License : Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa

Certifications : Current American Heart Association BLS certification required; must certify within three months of hire

Must-Have :

Graduate of an accredited RN program

Acute care and / or home health nursing experience for cardiac or diabetic patients or prior phone triage, ER triage, and MD office triage experience preferred

Superior nursing process skills and patient service drive

Positive, enthusiastic, helpful, and fun-seeking personality

Organized, able to set priorities and work effectively under pressure with minimum supervision

Ability to work well as a team member

Ability to think, converse, and type simultaneously while utilizing excellent telephone communication skills

Basic PC skills and comfort with Windows Operating Systems

Membership in a professional organization or certification in a specialty is highly desired

Description :

This position is primarily responsible for working as a clinic RN.

The RN will maintain clinic flow for patients and providers.

The RN will serve as nursing coverage in the urology clinic.

Responsibilities include assisting healthcare providers with patient examinations, phone calls, treatments, and procedures that may be performed within a clinic setting under the direction of the provider.

The RN will maintain responsibility for patient medical record and documentation.

The role includes collection and preparation of specimens and administration of medications as ordered by the provider.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
