As a Cross-Trained Dental Assistant / Front Desk Dental Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in creating a smooth, positive experience for every patient - both chairside and at the front desk.
This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing practice, with room for advancement as our Wayne office launches soon.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CLINICAL (Back Office) :
Assist dentist during a variety of procedures (fillings, crowns, Invisalign, whitening, etc.)
Prepare, sterilize, and organize treatment rooms and instruments
Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral photos
Document accurate patient records and treatment notes
Support infection control and OSHA compliance
Provide clear post-treatment and oral hygiene instructions to patients
ASMINISTRATIVE (Front Desk) :
Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
Handle phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
Verify dental insurance eligibility and process claims
Collect co-pays and maintain accurate billing records
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient daily flow
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1 year of dental office experience (clinical and / or administrative)
X-ray certification (required)
Proficiency with Open Dental software (required)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
Reliable transportation (must be able to travel between Havertown and Wayne if needed)
