Healthcare Setting : Labor & Delivery Unit (8 beds : 6 LDRP, 2 Triage)

Shift : 12-Hour Nights (19 : 00-07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 6 / 2025 – End : 1 / 5 / 2026)

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1910 - $1960

RN Qualifications & Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state

At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (required for all L&D RN jobs)

Proficiency in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Couplet Care

Ability to float to Acute Care and Emergency Department (ED) for nursing tasks

Must dress out in surgical scrubs

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients

Manage labor induction and spontaneous vaginal deliveries

Assist with vacuum-assisted vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections

Perform manual external version procedures as needed

Monitor patients using fetal monitors and specialized clinical equipment

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system

Support and educate patients and families throughout the childbirth process
