Locums OB / GYN Hospitalist 24-Hr Shifts Des Moines, IA (IMLC accepted)Why This Role?

Full-time hospitalist need at a leading regional center

24-hour shifts with consistent monthly scheduling

Handles all OBED patients, emergencies, and maternity transport

Assignment Details Duration : Starts January 1, 2026 - Ongoing

Coverage Type : Inpatient Only (24-hour shifts)

Schedule : 6.5 shifts per month, 7a to 7a, including weekends and holidays

Clinical Details : OBED with 8 beds

Approx. 1,389 OBED visits per year; 463 result in deliveries

Manages emergent OB cases and patients without a primary OB

Full-scope inpatient OB / GYN

No supervision of APPs

Onsite imaging, lab, and pharmacy

EMR : Epic

Emergent deliveries (vaginal and C-section)

Requirements : Board certified or eligible in OB / GYN

Active IA license or IMLC

Compensation Rates : Facility is accepting bids
