Full Time General Surgery-Colorectal NP / PA Opening in Danbury, Connecticut (60 miles from New York City)

Danbury Hospital, now part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner and / or Physician Assistant join our General Surgery-Colorectal team in Danbury, Connecticut, located about 60 miles northeast of New York City and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State. The ideal candidate will be board certified with previous experience in the surgical setting. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule in an outpatient setting. No evenings, weekends, or call. The position will support general surgery, bariatrics, colorectal, and acute care surgery. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including allowances for CME / Dues and CME time.

The ideal candidate will be a board-certified Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant with previous surgical setting experience though new graduates will be considered. This position requires a minimum formal education of Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant training, State of CT license, and Federal DEA and CT Controlled Substance Registration.

Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible via train or car.
