Key Accountabilities
Apply Engineering Principles : Utilize Aerospace, Mechanical and / or Materials engineering knowledge to support the development, design, manufacturing, assembly, evaluation / inspection, and procurement of aircraft or aerospace structural details and assemblies.
Material Selection and Development : Recommend and select Aerospace, Mechanical and / or Materials and components, considering environmental and regulatory requirements for chemical, environmental, and mechanical aspects of aerostructures.
Concept Development : Develop new concepts for aerostructures aligned with OEM Aerospace, Mechanical and / or Materials and process requirements.
Research and Development : Support research projects to resolve Aerospace, Mechanical and / or Materials and process challenges, enhance manufacturing and assembly processes, and advance Aerospace, Mechanical and / or Materials technology.
Process Improvement : Innovate metallic and composite material fabrication and assembly processes with respect to Aerospace, Mechanical and / or Materials components to achieve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, environmental sustainability, and compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
Standards Development : Contribute to the development and maintenance of electrical / electronic engineering standards and specifications.
Problem-Solving and Quality Improvement : Utilize analytical problem-solving skills to enhance delivery efficiency and quality, including Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCAs) related to electrical / electronic materials or processes affecting aerostructures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical and / or Materials Science, from an ABET accredited program
