Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Salary : $4,000 annually Classification : Part-Time (Contracted) Reports to : Head Men's Basketball Coach
Olympic College is recruiting to fill a part-time Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach position. This position reports to the Head Basketball Coach and the Athletic Director. This position is part-time and will begin immediately upon selection. The basketball season begins approximately at the beginning of September and approximately ends at the end of March the following year.. Must be available to attend practices, games, and tournaments on weekday evenings and weekends.
Essential Functions
Assisting the head coach in all phases of an intercollegiate basketball program;
Recruiting within conference guidelines;
Teaching advanced basketball skills;
Assisting with the monitoring of individual’s academic progress;
Overseeing transportation of the team;
Participate in fundraising activities;
Encouraging and demonstrating good sportsmanship;
Processing of appropriate institutional and conference paperwork;
Performs other work as required.

Terms of Employment This position has a stipend of $4,000 and is not eligible for benefits upon hire.
Working Conditions
This position requires punctuality and regular attendance. This position is in a typical office environment, but may require the employee to move across campus to other buildings. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position. May be required to lift and carry equipment and supplies of up to 30 pounds.
Conditions of Employment
Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant's suitability and competence to perform in the position. The employee must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance of the campus to respond to workplace reporting requirements at the time of hiring. Frequent travel to Olympic College campuses or other sites may occur.
