ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished.

  • Conducts feasibility studies and risk analyses for automation projects, ensuring optimal system performance and minimal downtime.

EDUCATION :

Associates or Bachelors degree in Robotics, Fluid Power, Mechatronics, Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or similar program required

2. Experience :

§ 5+ years of robotics experience working in a manufacturing environment required

§ 3+ years of automation experience working in a manufacturing environment required

3. Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

§ Safety oriented mindset

§ Self-motivated and results oriented

§ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

§ Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software

§ Working knowledge of electricity, electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics

§ Working knowledge of automation hardware and software including Rockwell, Beckhoff, Fanuc, and others

§ Proficient with robotic hardware and software including ABB, Fanuc, Universal Robot, Yamazen, or similar robotic systems

§ Ability to understand technical functions of components and how the functions relate to and run on machines

§ Ability to identify, purchase, build, program, start-up, and debug advanced technology control systems

§ Requires strong math skills and technical knowledge to calculate requirements of fluid power systems in the design and application of automated machines

§ Willingness to continue education and training

§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

§ Ability to travel : 5-10%

  • Program, integrate, and troubleshoot automation and robotic equipment during installation and start-up.
  • Participate in the development of innovative solutions to complex manufacturing production systems, processes, and equipment by conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, conferring with suppliers, and receiving input from employees as appropriate.
  • Create and maintain electrical diagrams and software documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with industry standards and safety regulations related to robotic and automated systems.
  • Perform research on new components and equipment to be used in projects within Alexandria Industries.
  • Provide support, guidance and training to operators and technicians on new robotic processes and equipment.
  • Identify and prioritize manufacturing process and equipment improvement projects and goals.
  • Work to improve current process capability, efficiency, and productivity in all areas of manufacturing
  • Participate in the implementation of capital equipment projects and manufacturing processes.
  • Serve as a leader and facilitator for teams involved in improvement efforts.
  • Coordinate input from various teams in order to make recommendations and implement changes that impact multiple departments.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams on implementation of projects and processes.
  • Prepare reports summarizing analyzed process information and trends.
  • Salary : $100,000-$112,000
