Job descriptionEdit short-form vertical video (IG Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) from raw footage, events, interviews, and long-form content. Build strong hooks in the first seconds; maintain pacing; add tasteful punch-ins, crops, and transitions. Add on-screen subtitles (burned-in), lower thirds, end cards, and simple graphics to spec. Select 1–2 thumbnail frames per cut and export them to the required aspect ratios and codecs. Deliver organized files, including filenames, project files, and exports, as per the checklist. Incorporate edit notes and version updates quickly. 2+ years editing vertical social video for creators / brands. Proficiency in Premiere Pro or Final Cut; CapCut Pro or Descript a plus. Proven subtitle workflows (accuracy, readability, safe areas). Portfolio with TikTok / IG Reels / Shorts examples. Working knowledge of music licensing / fair use basics; NDA discretion. On-time delivery to spec; minimal revisions. Consistent hook quality and watchability across edits. Reusable edit templates for recurring series. Three short-form edits you personally cut (note your role) Tools used Rate (hourly or per-deliverable) Typical 24-48 hour capacity for event-focused content. About The Role
We’re sourcing a Social Video Content Editor to cut high-retention short-form videos for a public figure in entertainment and a film studio. This is an editor-only role : you’ll select moments, edit verticals, add on-screen subtitles, and export clean deliverables. No calendar ownership, posting, community management, or paid media.
