Job Description

MacroSys is seeking a Senior Technical Writer with demonstrated professional / technical writing and editing skills, preferably in a transportation or technology-related field.

Responsibilities : Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension

Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions

Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed

Analyze information required for the development or update of policies, procedures, and other documentation

Create original drafts of new communication products, including speeches, articles, news releases, etc.

Review and / or copyedit content developed by other members of the team

Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in communications or related field and 10 years of relevant experience

Experience writing speeches, sometimes with swift turnaround

Fluency in technical and common office software (Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat)

Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills

Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills

Ability to multitask and be a self-starter

Ability to check all technical material for consistency and accuracy

Knowledge of Drupal is a plus

Candidates MUST have a portfolio of articles, speeches, and / or other technical writing samples that demonstrate his / her / their professional writing experience.

Candidate MUST be either a U.S. citizen or lawfully permitted to work in the United States.
