Description :

The role involves working in a 34-bed Emergency Department that caters to patients of all ages and diagnoses.

The department serves as a basic level 3 semi / stroke receiving center with no trauma cases.

Nursing staff will be accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care.

Direct patient care, patient / family education, and transitions of care in an acute setting are essential components of the role.

Nurses will deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients in the assigned area.

Additional responsibilities include management of various medical conditions and patient emergencies.

Skills required include management of acute psychosis, drug overdoses, respiratory infections, seizures, and more.

Experienced staff will also be responsible for triage, chest tube management, IV administration, and care for ventilated patients.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is expected.
