Illinois ICU Nursing Job Details Location : Freeport, Illinois 61032 Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Hospital, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Assignment Type : Travel RN Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Nursing Shift : 12-hour days (07 : 00 – 19 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Holiday Requirement : Holiday rotation Scrub Color : Any professional color Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1990-$2130 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois RN license (required for submission) Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Proven experience running codes and titrating critical drips (Levo, Neo, Propofol, Fentanyl, Precedex, Insulin, TNK, etc.) Phlebotomy and previous travel nurse experience highly preferred Meditech charting experience is a plus Must disclose any previous employment at FHN Memorial Hospital upon submission ICU Nurse Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in an 8-bed ICU Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 2-3, including lower acuity patients Serve as Code Blue Command RN and deliver rapid response care Titrate and administer critical drips and medications Care for patients with sepsis, stroke, DKA, post-cath recovery, ETOH withdrawal, and other acute diagnoses Float to MedSurg, Telemetry, and Emergency Room (ER) as needed Collaborate with hospitalists and clinical support staff, utilizing advanced monitoring technology (GE Carescape, Airstrip) Participate in department orientation and ongoing professional development Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this ICU Registered Nurse job in Freeport, Illinois!
