About The Position

Location : Bethpage, New York, USA Specialty : Sterile Processing Technician Type : Travel Schedule : 5x7.5 Nights Time : 13 Weeks

Seven Healthcare is pleased to offer a rewarding travel opportunity for an Travel Sterile Processing Technician in Bethpage, NY. This assignment consists of five 7.5-hour night shifts per week, totaling 37.5 hours paying $1,500 weekly.

Key Responsibilities of the Travel Sterile Processing Technician :

  • Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
  • Operate sterilizers, washers, and other processing equipment according to established protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization loads, biological indicators, and equipment maintenance
  • Distribute sterile instruments and supplies to operating rooms and other clinical departments
  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory guidelines
  • Identify and report damaged or malfunctioning instruments and equipment
  • Manage inventory levels and assist with restocking sterile supply areas
  • Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to support daily case flow and equipment needs

    • Requirements of the Travel Sterile Processing Technician :

  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or equivalent certification preferred
  • 1.5+ years experience accepted if tertiary experience; 2+ years experience if not
  • NY State license
