CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details :

Work overnight shifts Monday through Thursday from 9 : 30 PM to 8 : 00 AM

On-call responsibilities and callback shifts as needed

Holiday coverage per unit requirements

Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans

Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging

Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort

Insert IVs when necessary for testing procedures

Position patients appropriately, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques

Maintain accurate patient record keeping and document all necessary components within EPIC

Properly identify images and ensure images are sent to PACS system correctly upon exam completion

Maintain clean and safe scanning facility environment

Completion of formal training in approved School of Radiologic Technology required

Must maintain ARRT certification and NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting)

Minimum two years of experience required

Level 1 Trauma Center experience required

BLS certification from American Heart Association required

Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred

Injection certification preferred or willingness to complete during orientation

Epic experience required

Strong written and verbal communication skills essential

Must demonstrate patient and compassionate disposition

Team player who maintains cohesive working environment

This academic medical center serves as a Level 1 Trauma Center providing comprehensive emergency and specialty care services. The facility features advanced imaging technology including Philips and Siemens CT equipment and utilizes Epic electronic health record systems. As a major teaching hospital, the organization maintains high standards for patient care and safety while providing opportunities to work with cutting-edge medical technology and diverse patient populations.
