About the Role

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant (CPA preferred) to join our Vero Beach office. This is a great opportunity for someone who values professional autonomy, client interaction, and a collaborative atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review individual, partnership, S-Corp, and C-Corp tax returns

Communicate with the IRS and state taxing authorities on behalf of clients

Review financial statements for small businesses and make necessary adjustments

Prepare and review quarterly and annual payroll tax returns

Provide tax planning and advisory services for individuals and small businesses

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred

Minimum of 3 years of tax experience

At least 2 years of public accounting experience

Strong QuickBooks skills (minimum 4 years of experience)

Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Experience with Thomson Reuters UltraTax , Practice CS , and Right Networks is a plus

Required Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Comfortable managing multiple clients and deadlines

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday

In-person work required

Location Requirement

Candidates must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Vero Beach, FL 32960 before starting work.
