Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage tax audits including gathering data, documentation, reviewing information provided by the auditor, and responding to information requests from both auditors and third-party consultants.
Review and validate audit samples and provide technical sampling expertise on design of sampling plan.
Complete the timely compliance of sales and use taxes returns. Complete journal entries and tax account reconciliations
Research state, local and federal tax issues relating to current and potential future activity
Prepare and present tax training presentations to internal partners
Assist with Tax Software Implementation Projects
Analyzes transactional tax data for potential refund opportunities and coordinates identified refunds; recommends corrective action, where applicable, to prevent future occurrences of tax overpayment.
Collect, maintain, and issue appropriate exemption certificates and documentation
