Job descriptionBachelor's degree in accounting or finance required Master's degree in Tax preferred C.P.A. At least 5 years of tax experience Proficiency in state tax provisions for financial accounting and reporting Proficient in federal to state modifications to taxable income Experience with process improvements and utilizing technology Strong organizational and communication skills Mid-Senior level Full-time Accounting / Auditing and Finance Insurance Insurance and Employee Benefit Funds Banking Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Paid maternity leave Paid paternity leave Student loan assistance Disability insurance Tuition assistance Pension plan
Base pay range
$135,000.00 / yr - $155,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review income tax provisions in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare and review required Federal tax forms
- Assist with IRS audits
- Assist with tax planning opportunities, M&A transactions, modeling tax impacts of proposed legislation and capital planning projects
- Develop a strong working relationship with internal and external clients
- Collaborate with external auditors to provide support throughout audit cycle
- Support day to day activities of US tax operations
- Prepare, analyze and review state income tax provisions
- Prepare and review internal management reporting, and external financial statement disclosures
- Assist in analyzing changes in accounting principles or tax law
- Prepare and review state returns, supporting documentation, and disclosures
- Assist with technical review of transactions
- Assist with tax law change analysis and technical research
- Assist with responding to information document requests pertaining to state tax audits
- Participate in tax planning initiatives or quantifying state & local tax impacts of company strategic initiatives
- Prepare and review internal management reporting, and external financial statement disclosures (duplicate items removed where applicable)
- Responsible for performance-management related activities
- Participate in strategic and tactical goal setting for the group and be accountable for delivering results
