Healthcare Medical Scheduler – Call Center

Location : Atlanta, GA 30345 | Onsite

Compensation & Schedule

  • $18.50 / hr
  • 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM EST, weekdays (Saturdays as needed)
  • Full-time, W2

ROLE IMPACT

As a Medical Scheduler in a high-volume outpatient diagnostics center, you are the critical first point of contact for patients and provider offices. Your scheduling accuracy and professionalism directly impact timely care, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency across imaging services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and confirm imaging appointments using scheduling platforms and internal systems
  • Communicate procedure details and preparation instructions to patients and providers
  • Obtain imaging orders by contacting referring physician offices as needed
  • Respond to inbound calls, resolving issues or routing inquiries to appropriate departments
  • Maintain service standards, escalating concerns to supervisors as necessary

    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Call center or patient-facing scheduling experience
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or healthcare environments
  • Must pass drug screen and background check

    • CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS

  • Call center queue management software
  • Healthcare scheduling systems
  • EMR / EHR platforms and order entry tools
  • Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent

    • PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in deadline-driven and high-volume environments
  • Bilingual fluency a plus
