Job Title : Controls Technician

Job Description

As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting industrial controls equipment. You will provide electrical and controls support for the production operations and maintenance departments, addressing control and electrical issues to resolve problems related to equipment and process downtime, throughput improvement, and safety concerns. Your role ensures that plant automated equipment, robots, PLCs, and process control equipment are functioning as required. You will make minor PLC and HMI software changes, troubleshoot existing equipment, and work collaboratively with engineers and technicians on new automated process equipment deployments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial controls equipment.
• Provide electrical and controls support for production and maintenance departments.
• Ensure automated equipment, robots, PLCs, and process control equipment function as required.
• Make minor PLC and HMI software changes and troubleshoot existing equipment.
• Utilize input from production, maintenance supervisors, operators, vendors, and service providers to enhance troubleshooting and equipment improvements.
• Follow all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on deploying new automated process equipment.
• Assist engineers in laying out and fabricating machine control panels.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00 / hr.
