About The Role
As a Director of Nursing at Columbine West, you will :
Maintains diplomatic relations with residents, families, physicians, and staff.Directs, plans, and coordinates with clinical leadership to implement facility-wide clinical programs, policies and procedures, and clinical systems to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, ensure compliance with current standards of care, and promote efficient clinical and operational practices.Leads by example to enhance the quality of care and the management skills of personal.Provides input to budgeting, strategic planning, and financial and operational matters related to clinical services within the facilityFacilitates the multi-disciplinary approach in order to enhance care.Fosters organization-wide commitment to quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) via actions and attitude that assists with establishing overall QAPI objectives.Proposes, develops, leads, and participates in QAPI projects to improve quality of care and coordination of care for all patients and residents.Ensures competent nursing at all levels of care.Keep current in long-term care trends and the regularity environment.Other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For
Education and Experience :
Must possess at a minimum a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and possess a clear unencumbered license from the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.1+ years of related experience and / or training.Knowledge of the aging process, dementia, and disabilities preferred.Experience working with geriatric population in a long-term care facility, assisted living facility, or other related health care facility preferred.Skills :
In-depth knowledge of aging-related health issues, care practices, and standards specific to elderly residents.Ability to lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff effectively while fostering teamwork and professional growth.Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing geriatric care and long-term care facilities.Proficiency in implementing and monitoring quality improvement programs to ensure high standards of care.Strong ability to communicate with residents, families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams with empathy and clarity.Attributes :
