Seasonal (March–October) | Full-Time | Starting base salary is between $60,000 to $70,000 based on experience + incentives.

Rhinelander Country Club (RCC) is a private, member-owned 9-hole golf club with a proud legacy and a strong sense of community. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our seasonal operations and elevate the member’s experience through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a commitment to service.
Position Summary :
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of club operations—including the golf course, golf shop, restaurant, and member services. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality and recreation.
The ideal candidate will foster a culture of inclusion, professionalism, and continuous improvement while ensuring the club operates in alignment with board-approved policies and member expectations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide visionary leadership and maintain a positive, professional image.
- Oversee daily operations across all departments : golf, food & beverage, maintenance, and administration.
- Deliver exceptional member service and respond to member needs with care and efficiency.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Drive revenue growth through programming, events, and member engagement.
- Lead membership recruitment and retention efforts.
- Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Attend committee meetings and collaborate with the Board on strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of club, company, and employee information.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance service quality and leadership.
Qualifications :
PGA membership preferred.Prior experience as a General Manager at a golf course or private club strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of golf course maintenance, food & beverage operations, and hospitality standards.Proficiency in club management software, POS systems, and productivity tools.Proven leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.Compensation & Benefits :
Starting base salary is between $60,000 to $70,000 based on experience + incentives.Bonus : Annual performance-based bonus tied to net operating income.Lesson Income : 100% of lesson revenue (based on individual performance).Pro Shop Revenue : Opportunity for supplemental income.Professional Dues : PGA / LPGA dues paid, as applicable.Meals : Employee meal allocation.Privileges : Full playing and practice privileges.How to Apply :
