PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Schedule, conduct and serve as Local Education Agency (LEA} representative for, but not limited to, initial eligibility determination, dismissal meetings, placement changes, meetings with legal representation, manifestation determination reviews, annual IEP review, amended IEPs, transfers, articulations, and suspension review meetings in addition to other meetings as assigned.
2. Review transfer IEPs, complete the intake form, and facilitate meeting; notify the IEP facilitator at the secondary level.
3. Complete IEP meeting notice and send to all team members for all lEP meetings and staffings.
4. Review draft IEPs to ensure present levels of performance are completed with sufficient data and aligned to goals and accommodations.
5. Upload signed consent forms. Email consent forms to ESE Consent and evaluators.
6. Coordinate the staffing and placement process, including information gathering and scheduling.
7. Adhere to timelines for scheduling IEP meetings and completing compliance monitoring tasks.
8. Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to IEP facilitators at the secondary level.
9. Organize, develop, and provide school-based training according to identified teacher needs and compliance practices for ESE teachers, regular education teachers, and administrators
10. Monitor the ESE school program(s) and student records to assure compliance with federal, state, and district policy and procedures. Ensure student compliance folder is appropriately maintained including progress report.
11. Conduct matrix monitoring.
12. Complete IEP Compliance Checklist after each IEP meeting.
13. Organize communication meetings to maintain close working relationships with IEP facilitators, teachers, and school administrators.
14. Develop and maintain job related technology skills necessary for IEP development, compliance procedures, accessing reports, and record keeping.
15. Compile and review comprehensive evaluation data required to determine the appropriate placement of individual students and work collaboratively with Student Services and school-based teams.
16. Attend professional learning for job role as assigned by Supervisor.
17. Assure confidentiality of any personally identifiable data.
18. Monitor ESE reports as they apply to compliance and provide technical targeted assistance to schools.
19. Facilitate the implementation of admissions and placement procedures for special populations.
20. Provide effective communication, both orally and in writing, with parents, staff, students, and the community.
21. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Exceptional Student Education and designee.
