Nowon is a Korean-American pocha and gastropub in the East Village, known for bold flavors, late-night energy, and community vibes. We’re looking for a reliable, skilled AM Prep Cook to join our kitchen team.

Position Summary

The AM Prep Cook sets the tone for service by executing prep lists, maintaining consistency, and supporting the kitchen with daily operations.

Responsibilities

Execute daily prep lists (sauces, marinades, proteins, vegetables) with accuracy and speed.

Put away deliveries and organize storage areas.

Follow recipes, portioning, and quality standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Uphold DOH and food safety standards.

Communicate and collaborate with sous chefs and line cooks.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of prep experience in a professional kitchen.

Must be available weekends .

Reliable, punctual, and consistent.

Ability to follow direction and work efficiently.

Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Schedule
