About The Position
Wellhart is seeking a skilled OB / GYN physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in California. This 60-day assignment begins on 08 / 04 / 2025, with a potential for extension. The ideal candidate will provide 24-hour call coverage from 8 AM to 8 AM. The physician should be proficient in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology, with specific procedures to be determined. This role requires a versatile OB / GYN capable of handling a wide range of patient care needs, from routine check-ups to complex procedures and emergency situations. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the hospital staff to ensure high-quality, comprehensive care for patients.

Job Responsibilities and Duties :
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care during 24-hour call shifts
- Perform a full range of OB / GYN procedures (specific procedures to be determined)
- Manage both routine and high-risk pregnancies
- Conduct deliveries and perform cesarean sections as needed
- Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for patient documentation
- Adapt quickly to the hospital's protocols and procedures
- Ensure patient safety and high-quality care at all times
