Overview

Fulfillment Manager, Sampling — Phillip Jeffries Ltd. Onsite role at our headquarters in Fairfield, NJ, Monday – Friday 10 : 30am-7 : 30pm.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Sampling Order Fulfillment : Deliver exceptional service by meeting and surpassing internal and external customer expectations across all sampling functions; cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement; maintain pristine, showroom-worthy sample areas; lead agile workforce planning; monitor fulfillment costs to balance premium service with operational efficiency; drive process enhancements that reduce overhead while elevating service quality.
  • Sampling Receiving : Oversee the strategic movement of overstock—relocating surplus inventory to offsite locations and returning it to Fairfield, NJ when needed; ensure items are placed in correct overstock locations to maintain seamless accessibility and operational flow.
  • Sample Inventory Control & Distribution Management : Design and implement robust systems and audits to maintain inventory accuracy; address root causes of discrepancies; collaborate with Manufacturing and Design Production to resolve variances; anticipate space needs and coordinate with Design Production to align vendor shipments with inventory planning; reposition samples to support optimal distribution.
  • Sampling Supply Management : Build a resilient supply network by partnering with Procurement; forecast supply needs; create responsive systems to detect usage spikes and trigger replenishments; adjust purchasing strategies based on sales trends; act as central supply hub for remote facilities to ensure needs are met timely.
  • Leadership, Coaching, and Management : Inspire and develop a high-performing sampling team; model trust, collaboration, and accountability; clarify sampling function ownership; address performance and cultural alignment with clarity and compassion.

What You Will Need

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in logistics, fulfillment, or operations management; prior exposure to high-volume environments (500+ orders / day) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in ERP, WMS, and shipping platforms to support seamless order flow and inventory accuracy.
  • Proven track record of team leadership, including direct management of staff and driving performance through mentorship and clear direction.
  • Familiarity with both local and international shipping processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborative spirit with success working cross-functionally to drive communication and project execution.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; English fluency required (reading, writing, speaking); bilingual English / Spanish is a strong plus.

    Compensation & Benefits

    Compensation : Competitive salary wage ranges from $65,000 to $75,000, based on experience and expertise. Annual bonus opportunity; cost of living adjustments; generous retirement plan with automatic company contribution of ~10% with no employee match required.
