Job Responsibilities
Assessment- Provide consultation and assistance to Protective Services Management in conducting security risk assessments for various departments.
Construction- Evaluate construction plans, make recommendations, apply hardened security measures, lobby for project funding, and manage the security project to completion. Function as departmental liaison hospital wide for all construction projects. Evaluate drawings or visit the site, make recommendations for the security systems (card access system, camera system, duress button, radios, panels, NVRs, etc.) and related infrastructure, work with architects and engineers, contractors, integrators, CCHMC Leadership and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) Inspectors. Requires full proficiency through job related training and considerable on-the-job experience to perform range of tasks focused on the safety and security throughout the CCHMC operation.
Technical Support- Analyze issues, troubleshooting software, and coordinating vendors / resources to complete the repair.
Compliance - Planning- Meet with architects and engineers to ensure that proposed systems compliant with local building and fire codes. Testing - Compliance testing (commissioning) and audits. Testing after a security device is installed to ensure proper operation, mark the completion of that install, and serve as a starting point for the warranty. Audits - Performed on the security system devices to validate that the devices continue to operate correctly and identify deficiencies before they become a problem.
Process Improvement- Review security systems, technologies, and processes. Research and recommend new technologies and processes.
