Yard Hostler

DC-Centralia

Safely and efficiently moves, spots, backs-up, and inspects trailers in and around the yard for loading and unloading purposes

Major Activities

• Moves trailers in / out of shipping and receiving doors
• Communicates with Clerical staff and / or Coaches / Operations Coordinators regarding moves to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Performs various yard checks / audits
• Assists in maintaining Inbound and Outbound dock and staging areas
• Completes individual daily loading sheets, dispatch forms, and other paperwork
• Ensures that all required processes are performed concerning proper paperwork, seals, locking and securing trailers, etc.
• Completes other related duties as assigned. Takes the initiative in periods of downtime to complete other duties and remain productive
• Other duties as assigned

Total Base Pay Range for this Position : $18.00 - $22.50
