The Senior Director will report to the Vice President of Growth for S&S and oversee the Business Development team and efforts for S&S federal government pursuits.

Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a team of business development managers through early‑game phases of the pursuit lifecycle.
- Ensure BD and account managers leverage the KBR early‑game BD process to extract early understanding of the procurement environment, generate addressable leads, build trust within client decision‑making organizations, and promote aggressive and progressive engagement.
- Feed the pipeline with quality opportunities and mature them through KBR’s BD process, ensuring senior executive insight into early strategy decision gates.
- Oversee approximately five direct reports and mentor them to operate across the early‑game BD cycle.
- Participate in milestone and color team reviews, providing value and leading solution enhancements reflecting the voice of the customer.
- Assist managers in developing thorough business development and account plans, driving a compelling market approach.
- Improve commercial acumen and BD excellence of the organization through process improvement, training, strategic thinking, and a disciplined BD approach.
Qualifications
Minimum 20 years’ experience managing federal government BD teams of 5+ people, pursuing Single Award contracts valued greater than $300M.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related technical field.Demonstrated success in growing business and achieving wins.Strong communication skills – verbal, written, executive presence.Experience managing the pipeline and utilizing CRM tools such as Salesforce.Ability to work with senior business and government leaders at all levels and provide leadership within the workplace.Experience with competitive and teaming analysis and strategic pricing / commercial acumen.Experience winning large-scale programs over $300M in the federal government.Experience developing account plans and pursuit plans for new business opportunities.Proven BD and / or Capture experience with demonstrated wins.Basic Compensation
$226,800.00 – $340,100.00
Additional Compensation
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be sign‑on bonus, relocation benefits, short‑term incentives, long‑term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
