Finance Director

Position Overview:

As the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of Petzl America. Reporting to the CEO/President, and a valued member of the Leadership Team, you will manage the Finance Department and all functions associated with the business and finance operations of Petzl America. The Finance Director is accountable for accurately reporting and advising the CEO/President, Leadership Team and the parent company's CFO of financial performance, business trends, and best practices. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of financial leadership, a strong understanding of industry best practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the CEO/President to formulate and administer successful policies and procedures for the business and finance operations of Petzl America, including financial reporting, tax filings and compliance, accounting, audit procedures, payroll, risk management, and compliance
• Responsible for all aspects of the Company's financial areas including A/P, A/R, Payroll/Benefits and General Ledger. Develop and manage the Finance team; including planning roles and responsibilities, hiring decisions, setting and monitoring performance goals, and developing talent
• Collaborate with parent company, located in France, to align business practices for local and global initiatives
• Participate in requesting and negotiating financial proposals and contracts
• Develop, create and administer the annual budget process along with quarterly forecasts and monitor and report monthly budget-to-actual figures to managers. Establish and apply a system of internal controls which assure legal and fiscal compliance with laws, rules and generally accepted accounting practices applicable to the operation
• Direct and supervise the preparation of all financial reports and records
• Collect, safeguard and advise of investment opportunities for daily cash flow
• Coordinate and implement the recommendations of CPA auditors
• Maintain and manage inventory of all Petzl America's property and assets
• Participate in the Leadership Team, which collectively strives for company efficiencies and a strong company culture

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPA license required
• Proven experience as a senior finance executive in a fast-paced global environment overseeing a highly effective team
• Deep understanding of financial management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry trends
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a track record of driving financial performance
• High level of integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct in all business dealings
• Preferred System/Program Knowledge: SAP, SAP Fiore, SAP Concur, SalesForce, Power BI, Paylocity, Payscale, MS Office, Google Suite
