Schedule 3x12.0 shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays as per unit needs. Job Description The CT Technologist is responsible for confirming patient identity and verifying exams prior to initiating scans. The role includes coordinating with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging, preparing patients for scans, and explaining procedures to ensure patient comfort. Additionally, the technologist will be required to insert IVs when necessary, position patients safely, and maintain accurate patient records in EPIC, ensuring proper documentation and image management. Responsibilities Confirm patient identity and verify exam details before scans. Coordinate with physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging. Prepare and explain procedures to patients to alleviate concerns. Insert IVs as needed for testing purposes. Position patients properly, utilizing safe handling techniques. Document procedures and images accurately in the EPIC system. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology. Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to starting). Minimum of two years of Level 1 Trauma Center experience. BLS certification (American Heart Association only). Preferred : Injection certification, willingness to complete during orientation.
