Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,215 per week in Salem, MA

Job Title : RN ICU Profession : Nursing Specialty : Intensive Care Unit Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Rotating (Days / Eves / Nights & Every Other Weekend) Hours per Shift : 36 hours Experience : - 3 years of general ICU experience required. - 2 years of continuous work experience in one location, preferably in a Medical ICU. License : - Active RN License in Massachusetts Certifications : - BLS - ACLS Must-Have : - Ability to read telemetry strips - Floating required to Medical / Surgical Units Description : This position requires a rotating schedule that includes day, evening, night shifts, and every other weekend. Candidates must have 2 years of continuous Medical ICU experience. Telemetry competency is required. The unit is a 20-bed Medical / Surgical ICU. Patient care includes a wide range of adult patients with diagnoses such as substance abuse, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock. Attendance of attending physicians and residents is present in the ICU 24 hours a day. The RN to patient ratio is typically 1 : 2 or 1 : 1 with high acuity patients, adjusting to 1 : 4 or 1 : 5 when floated to other areas. The electronic medical record charting system used is Epic.
