Job Duties
The responsibilities for the position of Traffic Project Engineer include :
Managing traffic tasks by utilizing communication, initiative, and follow through skills.
Leveraging engineering knowledge and CADD technology to develop plans and documents for transportation projects that meet project goals and adhere to applicable design standards. Primary work areas may include signing, pavement marking, work zone traffic control, signal design, and traffic operations modeling.
Mentoring junior team members and overseeing work of others in the Traffic group, including design calculations, plan development, and agency design requirements.
Evolving innovation, best practices, and efficiency within the Traffic group and across Isthmus.
Evidencing continued commitment to individual, company, and industry improvement.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree in Civil Engineering field or a closely related field.
Minimum Experience Required
Registration as a Professional Engineer in Minnesota, or ability to obtain the same within six months.
Two or more years of experience in traffic engineering.
