Engineering Consultant: Rockford: IL
Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Consultant to support a wide range of land development and construction engineering projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to community-focused projects that blend technical precision with creative problem solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of residential development and home construction
- Collaborate with municipalities, surveyors, and contractors to ensure compliance with local codes, zoning, and environmental standards
- Develop and review engineering plans, plats, and specifications for accuracy and constructability
- Support project planning, permitting, and site inspections throughout various project phases
- Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed site designs and engineering drawings
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables for multiple projects
- Conduct feasibility studies and contribute to project cost estimates and technical documentation
Skills & Experience:
- Education: Degree in Civil Engineering preferred, but not required with applicable experience
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in construction engineering, land development, or site design, required
- Knowledge: Coordinating with municipalities, utility companies, and surveyors, strongly preferred
- Software: CAD or similar software, strongly preferred

Pay: $65,000 - $80,000/year, depending on experience + bonus opportunities
Type: Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
