Infection Preventionist / Staff Development Coordinator – Registered Nurse

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and implement training programs and educational initiatives for nursing staff.

Collaborate with department managers to identify and address specific training needs and areas of improvement.

Conduct training sessions, workshops, and simulations to ensure that nursing staff are well-prepared to provide high-quality patient care.

Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.

Maintain training records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Support new employee orientation and ongoing professional development for nursing staff.

Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging healthcare trends to ensure the relevance and quality of training materials.

Act as a resource and mentor for nursing staff seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Assist in the development and implementation of clinical competencies and skills assessments.

Foster a culture of lifelong learning and knowledge sharing within the nursing team.

Qualifications :

Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Proven experience as a nurse educator or staff development coordinator in a healthcare setting.

Strong clinical and educational background in nursing.

Proficiency in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training methodologies.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

Certification in nursing professional development (e.g., Certified Nurse Educator - CNE) is a plus.
